Dr. Do and Patient Merrie

Our Commitment

Nearly 50% US adults aged ≥30 and 70% US adults aged ≥65 have periodontal disease, which can lead to tooth loss, and an increased risk of systemic diseases, such as diabetes, stroke and heart diseases. Pregnant women having periodontal disease have also been reported to give birth to babies who are born too early and too small. The good news is that periodontal disease can be treated successfully and predictably!

Our goal for all of our patients is that once all your treatments have been completed, your mouth will be healthy and free of dental diseases for the rest of your life; you will never need any more dental treatment besides periodic check-ups and cleanings! To achieve this goal, we spend a tremendous amount of time informing and educating our patients not only on the problems they have, but also on how they can effectively keep their mouth clean and healthy. On our end, we provide the most advanced and scientifically sound, thorough, meticulous, and definitive treatments personalized to your needs.

Jonathan H. Do, DDS

Dr. Do grew up in Southern California, and attended UCLA for college, dental school, and postgraduate training. Upon graduation in 2013, he was recruited to join the faculty in periodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry to teach dental students and residents full-time.

As much as he loves teaching, clinical periodontics and patient care are his passions. In 2015, Dr. Do started a practice limited to periodontics and implant therapy in Poway with the mission of helping patients to keep their teeth healthy and functional for the rest of their lives through patient education, prevention and quality care.

Dr. Do is still dedicated to education and humanitarian service. He maintains a 50% appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and continues to give lectures and hands-on workshops at meetings and continuing education courses in the US, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan. He continues to travel abroad with UCLA dental students on humanitarian missions to provide comprehensive dental care, and to learn about new cultures.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Do enjoys nature, photography, traveling, and eating. He is a die-hard UCLA Bruin, and a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and all things made of shell cordovan.
